We are proud to announce the launch of our own cottage:
Cosy Woodpecker Cottage B&B - Cosy Salt Spring Island Accommodation.
If you are looking for Salt Spring Island Accommodation we would be delighted to have you stay with us at Cosy Woodpecker Cottage B&B. Nestled against the hillside at the edge of a woodland of arbutus, fir and pine, the cottage overlooks our property. The cottage is completely self contained and fully equipped and with two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom with ‘zen’ soaker tub and large covered deck, there is plenty of room for you to stretch out, relax and enjoy your stay here on beautiful, tranquil Salt Spring Island.
...and here are some other suggestions for great places to stay:
NOTE: Please check all information out for yourself as these are my humble opinions and I cannot guarantee they will agree with yours or that it is 100% accurate.
Cottages and B&Bs to stay at:
- From our friends Sheridan and Chris - Cedarwood Cottage.
Retreat, rejuvenate, and relax in this beautiful cottage set in nature. At the end of a quiet country lane surrounded by walking trails and a forested ridge is our bright yet cozy cottage on beautiful Salt Spring. - http://www.allseasons-saltspring.ca/ All Seasons B&B. We have stayed here. Amazing breakfast - some of the best I've had! YUMMY. Lovely decor. Tell Leslie and Peter that Emma & Duncan told you about them! Very reasonable price-wise!!
- FOR FRIENDS: THIS ONE IS CLOSEST TO US (10 minute walk - bring a flashlight if you plan to walk once it's dark) http://www.stmarylakeresort.com/ We haven't stayed here personally - so can't offer opinions - but the rates seem quite reasonable - especially the "shoulder season".
- http://www.spindriftsaltspringisland.com/cottages.htm We stayed here and loved it! 2 mini-beaches. Saw sea otters 20ft from their beach (we interrupted their dinner on the beach I think as they complained!) as well as seals and the tame deer (we fed them bananas!) No phones. Pet friendly. "Rustic" but very relaxing. Self-catering. Most (all?) cottages overlook the sea.
- http://www.saltspringcottageresort.com/index.html Also stayed here. Great next to the lake - not sure about pets. Self-catering. "Rustic" but has everything you need and very relaxing.
- http://www.saltspringspa.com/ Not stayed here, but looked round. This has cute arch-roofed cottages that overlook (at a distance with the road inbetween) the sea. Hot tub and BBQ included I think. Plus massage available on site!
- http://www.oceansidecottages.com Not stayed here, but they look FABULOSO! One has its own beach access, the other two a stone's throw from the beach. These are on the South end of the island near Fulford - which although substantially smaller than the main town, Ganges (20 minutes drive), has some hip (or should that be hippy?) stores to mooch around, an organic cafe and a great restaurant.
